Quicklime

Quicklime or Burnt lime which in chemical terms known as Calcium oxide (CaO), which has a wide usage as a chemical compound. It is  white in color.  By virtue it is caustic, alkaline, crystalline and remains  solid at room temperature. Quicklime is produced by ‘burning’ or heating the limestone (calcium carbonate), which occurs in natural limestone deposits. This process is one of the oldest chemical process method discovered by the mankind, being used all over the world.
